You might not be ready to start running paid ads, and that’s ok. You can get started with organic marketing methods to drive traffic and sales to your online store.
The thing is, what you won’t spend on ads, you will spend time showing up on social media. If you are a bit lazy like me (or time-poor), organic socials can feel time-consuming. But where attention goes, energy flows, so if you do not want to spend on ads, here are some tips on turning your followers into customers
If you are an online store owner, you no doubt have products to sell. But if you have turned your social media account into more of a personal brand broadcast channel, you are missing out on loads of possible sales.
Regularly invite your followers to click through to your website with a strong call to action, and often (but not to the point of bashing them over the head with sales posts).
Come up with different offers, promotions or incentives for your followers, that are time-based and have deadlines in order to create urgency. Test different offers and see what works best for your audience.
Piggyback off other audiences
By working with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand your reach. This might cost you money if they are a bigger influence, or you may need to gift them a product. Working with influencers can change your business overnight if you find the right one (and my favourite strategy is to then use their content in your paid ads to expand your reach further).
