Today I’m chatting about Websites – a winning website that is! 

So what is a winning website? It’s one that is built to convert as many website visitors to customers as possible, on autopilot (while you sleep!). Can I get a ka-ching!

Your website is the equivalent of a brick-and-mortar shop front – first impressions are everything. And sometimes we are too close to our website to see the holes in it. 

We are more often than not looking inside the back end of Shopify / rather the public-facing website and we know exactly where everything is (because we put it there) and just assume everyone else will know too right (a bit like my husband’s wardrobe…).

Think about shopping in person at your local shopping centre or mall. When you approach a new store for the first time, would you stick around for a long if there were boxes everywhere blocking your path?  If there were inches of dust in the window display, and cobwebs around, would you be willing to stay?  

How about if you have a question or want to try something on – what if there was no sales assistant there to help you?

We need to consider the user experience of our website visitors the same way you would if they were visiting you in real life.  That is, you need to make a great first impression and help guide them through your store in order to make a sale.
