Facebook ads for beginners

Let's discuss Facebook Ads for Beginners.

Are you using Facebook Ads or wanting to get started?

STOP BOOSTING POSTS - please, just stop.

Yes, it's tempting and easy to hit that 'boost' button when Facebook keeps tempting to you too.

But you aren't getting the best bang for your advertising buck by boosting posts.

You aren't reaching the right people by boosting.

You won't find your customers that way.

You need to create ads from scratch with layers of targeting so your ad spend isn't being wasted. No one likes to waste money.

So stop, watch this video and start creating ads yourself.

Creating your Facebook ad isn't actually that scary.  Promise!  There are just a few key components you need to know and then you are all set to start reaching those customers and making those sales.  So let's begin...

Key components of Facebook Ads for Beginners

1)  A Great quality photo.

Of your product.... that is eye-catching and appealing to your customer.   Don't use a stock photo (unless you are a service-based business - then it's ok... just).  Better still arm yourself with a few in different shapes and sizes.  If you are going to create a single image Ad you will need a landscape (ie rectangular) image.  If you are going to create a carousel ad (showcasing many products) or an Instagram ad, you will need square images.

2) Compelling copy

What is it your selling?  What problem are you solving for your customer?  What is the transformation will they go through once they buy your product?  Think outside the box.

For example, a bikini company isn't just selling swimsuits.  They are selling sexiness, glamour, confidence on the customers next beach holiday

3) A call to action

What action do you want your viewers to take?  Click the link below to see your latest collection?  Click 'Shop Now'?  Watch your video?  Sign up?  Make it crystal clear what action and next steps you want your ad viewers to take.

4) Know your audience (targeting)

You need this information in order to make sure your target customer is seeing your Ad, and not your cousin Rob in Kempsey.  Enough said.
